The past two years, our Purple Heart Family Support program was able to take several Wounded Warriors to a theme park called Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. Both years the Marines have had a great time and they still talk about the fun they had. Because the trip has been such a success two years in a row, Purple Heart Family Support is taking the warriors to Knott's Berry Farm again this year on November 15th. Last year, because so many warriors wanted to go on the trip, PHFS had to rent a bus for the day to transport them all. Purple Heart Family Support needs your help!

The park gives free admission to Veterans every November, but PHFS would like to raise $2500 to cover the other costs. These costs include a 55-passenger wheelchair-accessible bus rental and the Marines’ dinners, snacks and drinks during the day. This trip is a great way to treat them to a day of fun and laughter—one to remember for a lifetime! It gives the warriors an opportunity to get out in the California sunshine, bond with one another and forget their injuries.
